P  A  M  E  T  -  N  E  V  A  D  A

           I am  honored and eager to serve as your president for the upcoming 2 years. Twelve years after facilitating the foundation and growth of our organization, I finally come to lead and I am ready. Thank you for choosing me.

           I have listed my plans in hope to carry them out smoothly, but I will not be able to do so without your help. I urge each and every one of you to be as active as possible. Let us recruit more members to ensure that we will have a solid organization that will become the best in the PAMET world. Twelve years ago, we were the number 14th chapter, the youngest one. To this date, there are 3 more chapters added to PAMET-USA, making 17 chapters total. Our very own Dr. Shirley Cruzada is working on another state chapter formation. She was instrumental in the formation of the the 17th chapter, PAMET-NEBRASKA.

           We had a productive start with the first meeting that I presided over as president. The officers were informally inducted by our adviser Leo Fabriquier. It was very well attended and much more than I expected. Sonia Majors, our business manager was our host. I suggested that the officers be in charge of the venues of future meetings.  This does not necessarily mean that the meetings are to be held at the assigned officer's residence, but rather it will be their responibility to arrange a place wherever that may be. Our outgoing treasurer must hand over the financial books to the incoming treasurer as soon as possible so she can plan on the coming event spending which is the formal induction ball of the new officers. The date is set to take place on Saturday, March 24, 2012. I  plan to invite the National PAMET-USA president Nile Alconcel to officiate the induction. She is from PAMET-MICHIGAN.The venue for the party will be at the Revere Golf Club at Anthem. It is a beautiful place with a view of the Las Vegas Strip and is quite affordable.

           Having mentioned the induction ball, we need to solicit ads for our souvenir journal as we did for our 10th anniversary souvenir book.  This  will be published after the event so that memorable moments captured during that time will be included. It will make our journal more presentable and  exciting with all the ads we solicit. Hopefully all the chapters will help us with this. An invitation letter and solicitation forms will be mailed by our corresponding secretary, Milagros Luisima.

          I invited Dr. Pete Racoma to be our keynote speaker of our induction ball. Being a Psychiatrist and a former Medical Technologist himself, he is such a virtuous speaker. He is also a contibutor to our newsletter.

          A newsletter is in the works to commemorate Fita's term of office as president. It will be published by the end of February. I like to invite anyone who may be intreseted to contribute an article. Shirley Cruzada, our president elect will do the layout of the newsletter.

          Our first meeting was a blast. It was a surprise the girls were dressed up to kill. They had planned to go night clubing afterwards. We all met at Ravello Lounge in the M Resort where the band Zowie - Bowie rocked the night away. Every one was blown away. It has been decided that after every meeting there will be a great after party! Come join the fun!
