PAMET NEVADA’s 2008-2010 Induction of Officers was held on January 12, 2008. I was very glad that my administration is over and I gladly hand over the responsibilities to Ferdie Destura, 2008-2010 President.

These are some highlights of my administration with the assistance of PAMET NEVADA members and officers:

Sponsored medical technologist review class for national certification and licensing in October 2005 to January 2006 with additional assistance of UBS and QUEST Diagnostics in providing the classroom for the students at no charge. We are very thankful and grateful UBS and QUEST for all their support.

Lisa Cabiling, Leo Fabriquier, Marifel Arciaga, Cora Bautista, Yvette Veloso are the student members in 2005-2006 review class who passed AMT National Exam and Emma Angeles passed the BB ASCP exam..

Sponsored another medical technologist review class in March through May 2007 with classroom provided by QUEST Diagnostics. Again, we are so very thankful and grateful to QUEST for all their support.

The students who passed AMT National exam after taking the 2007 review classesswere Herrane Silva, Fernandito Ochoa, Teresita Guerrero, Shirley Cruzada, Maarijana Nesheva, Maya Taylor, Jose Jose III, and Erwin dela Cruz.

We also sponsored the 2007 National Executive Board Meeting in September 2007 held at RIO.

We continue to support and donate yearly to the Phil. Bisayan association in their scholarship fund raising events for high school students.

We also donate annually to UBS scholarship fund raising for high school students.

Members and Officers donate used medical technology school books for PAMET Philippines for the last 2 years.

We also donated to the fund raising events for the flood victims in the Phil., which was sponsored by the Phil Bisayan Association here in Las Vegas.

PAMET NEVADA won BEST BOOTH DISPLAY and BEST PERFORMANCE during the 2006 National Convention held in San Francisco.

I would also like to acknowledge the following members and officers, who assisted me without complaints during the preparation of the Executive Board meeting. Their plaques state the following:

Lisa Cabiling – Outstanding new member and officer. She helped me tremendously during the hotel booking negotiations and preparation of the Gala Ballroom. She even had her children helping her make the table decorations. She assisted me during the review class as proctor every weekend.

Virgie Gambon Quintin – Recognition of her services as Treasurer for 2 terms, as Web Master for PAMET NV website, and for working very hard day and night in creating the Souvenir Journal during the 2004 National Convention held here in LV and 2007 National Executive Board Meeting held here in LV also.

Fita Lim – Recognition of her dedication to PAMET Nevada, working hard in assisting me during as proctor every weekend during the review class in 2005-2006 and 2007.

Lastly, I would like to thank the following people:

Ferdie Destura, who worked very hard to meet the final printing and deadline of the Souvenir Journal, and for hosting the Welcome Dinner of the National delegates.

Flo Destura and Memen Fabriquier for giving up their weekends to assist PAMET Nevada in planning and preparing for the Executive Board meeting.

Romy Guideng, who makes all our flyers, certificates, and event tickets for PAMET NV. Without his assistance and expertise in graphics and audio-visual, we would be lost.

Evelyn Sayre and Ricky Martinez for assisting and guiding PAMET NEVADA in our monthly activities, fund raising, and interpretation of the by laws.

A Special Thank You to Evelyn Sayre, who worked hard to get UNLV professors as the review class instructors for 2005-2006 and 2007.
